Earnings are approximate and vary by role, experience, and region. Exchange rates fluctuate.
- Never pay more than the official government fees. Research the actual cost before giving money to any agent.
- Always verify the recruiting agency is registered with BMET (for Middle East/SE Asia) or with the destination country's immigration authority.
- Never hand over your original passport to an agent or employer. You have the legal right to hold your own passport at all times.
- Read your employment contract carefully BEFORE signing. If it is in a foreign language, get it translated.
- BMET registration and emigration clearance are required for ALL overseas employment destinations, not just the Middle East.
- If an offer sounds too good to be true (very high salary, no requirements, guaranteed visa), it is almost certainly a scam.
